The opera is based on the play by Sarah Kane, and was staged by the Royal Opera and the Lyric Theatre Hammersmith. It was described by the jury as “arrestingly relevant, uncomfortable yet gripping”. The work was also shortlisted for the Opera & Music Theatre Award and was nominated for an Olivier Award in 2016, under the Best New Opera category.

We supported him through our work with London Sinfonietta, the Blue Touch Paper programme, and also through our work with Mahogany Opera Group.
