Angharad Williams

Angharad Williams is an artist and writer whose practice is transdisciplinary, site sensitive and ideas-led.

Angharad returns to research and thinking around incarceration, sight (and what it amounts to), pacifism, the countryside, pop culture, social class, consumption and notions of the self.

Angharad was born in Ynys Môn and is based there. Solo exhibitions include High Horse, Kevin Space, Vienna (2021); Without the Scales, Schiefe Zaehne, Berlin (2020); and Island Mentality, Peak, London (2019). Group exhibitions include SECOND, FriArt, Fribourg (2021); Hergest: Trem, with Mathis Gasser, Swiss Institute, New York (2021); Lady Helen, London (2020); Not Working: Artistic Production and Social Class, Kunstverein München (2020); and We Shall Survive in the Memory of Others, Galerie Barbara Weiss, Berlin (2019). Performances have taken place at KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlin (2020); ICA, London (2019) and Radiophrenia, Glasgow (2018).
