Mo’min Swaitat

Mo’min is a London-based Palestinian Bedouin artist whose practice spans music, performance, film and audio-visual installations.

In 2020, Mo’min was awarded the Live Work Fund and founded Majazz Project; the first Palestinian-led record label and research platform of its kind, focused on sampling, remixing and reissuing vintage cassettes and vinyl from the SWANA region. The collection spans field recordings of Bedouin weddings to revolutionary songs and synth-heavy 80s funk and jazz.

Majazz Project currently hosts a radio show on NTS Radio, Palestine Sound Archive; a celebration of music, film, spoken word and album artwork from historic Palestine, mainly from the 1960s-1990s.

Mo’min has been supported by Jerwood New Work Fund 2022 and Live Work Fund.
