Nicolaas van de Lande

Nicolaas van de Lande is an artist working with installation, sculpture and photography.

His installations are composed of sculptures and found objects which gesture towards the ontological idea that everything is plastic – meaning that unchangeable forms do not exist.

Nicolaas was born in Breda and is based in London and Amsterdam. He studied at the Gerrit Rietveld Art Academy, The Netherlands (2016) and did an MA in contemporary art practice at the Royal College of Art, UK (2019). Solo exhibitions include Sleazy Decorations: Party Time in Croyden, Croyden Arts Store (2018) and Breehornstraat 113, a self-initiated project in a social housing complex, Amsterdam (2016/17). Group exhibitions include Ambiguity, No Studio, Amsterdam (2019); Textures of Taste, Paleis van Mieris, Amsterdam (2016); and Dirty Daisies, Art The Hague, The Hague (2016).
