Throughout 2021, they plan to develop their Solem Lates strand, building on their reputation for re-imagining traditional concert experiences, creating new audiences, commissioning new music and working with young people.
Their 2021 plans include the launch of Beethoven Bartok Now, an ambitious series featuring six bold commissions from a diverse range of composers paired with historic masterpieces. Alongside live performances, they are creating a wealth of online material to engage and inspire new listeners.
The quartet believe passionately in the creation of new music as a tool for change in classical music. Their commissioning in 2021 includes a Call for Scores to find a compositional voice the quartet will champion through BBN and beyond. They are also providing regular free online workshops where composers from across the world will receive guidance and hear their music played live.
