Artists Nicole Morris and Milly Peck, who have work in current exhibition Survey, will run practical drop-in drawing projects that are suitable for all ages, as part of The Big Draw Festival 2018. Come join us!

Film-making through Drawing

Make a collaborative film through drawing with Nicole Morris. In this workshop, participants will experiment with marking lines, fingerprints, and patterns onto Super 8 film to construct an animated drawing. Project your finished strip to see the final outcome.

Foley Folly

Foley is a method of creating sound effects for film and video. Explore the comic nature of this form of sound production, and create fictional narratives around everyday objects with Milly Peck. In this workshop, participants will use a selection of objects and materials to develop a soundscape for an imagined movie scene or sequence of theatrical events, and will translate these into simple drawn instructions resembling a comic strip sequence or a musical score.

This event is free, but booking is required via Eventbrite.
