Keiken + George Jasper Stone have created new Augmented Reality (AR) filters to be used in Instagram within their installation Feel My Metaverse commissioned for Jerwood Collaborate! (2 October – 15 December). For the exhibition and events programme the artists have made these AR filters available to download free.
To use these AR filters you’ll need to download the latest version of Instagram. You can download the individual filters below.
For the opening week of Jerwood Collaborate! we invited visitors to bring their smartphones to watch a new performance by dance artist Sakeema Crook through this Instagram filter. This performance is an extension of Keiken + George Jasper Stone, Feel My Metaverse, in which Sakeema features as the character ‘Pando’.
For Jerwood Arts’ first ever ‘phygital’ event, this physical and digital intervention of the installation gave attendees the opportunity to view the performance in real life and/or experience it through an Augmented Reality Instagram filter. Sakeema explores embodiment and movement as she interacts with her digital avatars, recorded through motion capture and 3D face scanning.
