Join Our Team

We are looking for three new people to bring their skills and perspectives to strengthen Jerwood Arts’ work.

With three of our team moving on in their lives and careers over the coming months, we have a rare opportunity to build a new team. We are therefore excited to be recruiting for a Project Manager with interest in the visual arts, and two Team Assistants to support our national funding programmes and help us improve conditions for early-career artists, makers, curators and producers across the UK.

Before leaving, some of our current team recorded a conversation about working at Jerwood Arts. The video gives a real-life insight into who we are, what we do, and how we work. You can watch the full video on this page.

With over 25 active artist development programmes nationally, supporting our growing Jerwood Developing Artists Fund partners will be at the heart of the next year at Jerwood Arts. 2023/4 will also see us design and deliver specialist awards and initiatives in the visual arts including the next edition of Jerwood Art Fund Makers Open, Jerwood Survey III, Jerwood/Photoworks Awards, Jerwood Writer in Residence as well as new initiatives in poetry and dance. Explore our website to find out more about all our current work.

Available roles

Project Manager: Full-time, flexible working supported. £31,000.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and diligent person with an interest in early-career visual artists. You will be responsible for managing funding processes and key relationships with funded organisations.

Team Assistants: Full-time, flexible working supported. £26,000. Two roles available – Executive and Communications Assistant, and Executive and Team Culture Assistant.

We are looking to appoint two enthusiastic and highly-organised Assistants to coordinate and administer the effective running of our programmes, communications, office and finances.

We are excited to share these opportunities widely and would particularly like to hear from you if you feel under-represented in the arts or funding sectors or haven’t followed a ‘traditional’ career pathway.

The closing date for applications to all three roles is 10am, Monday 15 May.
