Represent, is a series of artworks inspired by the Representation of the People Act 1918. While the act gave the vote only to women over 30, Represent invites young female artists to explore democracy, equality and inclusion in contemporary Britain.

Our support goes towards the commissioning of three female artists under the age of 30 to make new ambitious works in partnership with three leading organisations. The selected artists and organisations are: Debris Stevenson, working with Royal Court; Rachel Maclean working with NVA; and  Selina Thompson, working with Arnolfini.

Presented by 14-18 NOW and supported by Jerwood Arts, Represent is accompanied by a programme of events, talks and professional development opportunities.
