Association of British Orchestras

Find Your Way

Founded in 1948 the ABO is the national body representing the collective interests of professional orchestras, youth ensembles and the wider classical music industry throughout the UK. It enables and supports an innovative, collaborative and sustainable orchestral sector by providing advice, support, intelligence and information to the people who make British orchestras a global success. Leadership development for 12 up and coming individuals from UK orchestras

This page was made some time ago and may contain information which is now out of date

Our support goes towards twelve emerging orchestra leaders to develop their leadership skills and knowledge of the orchestral sector. The programme will involve a twelve months of training and mentoring, placements in orchestras and an intensive residential period. Find Your Way addresses a need for supported routes into orchestral leadership, in particular for a diverse range of individuals.

The project is also supported by ABO Trust and Help Musicians UK.
