DCA will be offering four, month-long residencies based in their Print Studio to take place over two years. The residencies will be aimed at early-career UK-based artists who wish to explore and expand their practice when working with print. Artists will gain access to DCA’s world-class equipment and support from expert printmakers in a collaborative studio environment, with the aim to encourage experimentation and learning. Residencies will be flexible, led by the artist and tailored to their access needs and interests.
Recruitment will be via a national open call requesting submission of practice development proposals. Selection will be made by a panel that will include both DCA Staff and practicing artists, who are looking for high quality, thoughtful and experimental proposals with openness to collaboration.
“We’re delighted to be offering this new residency programme supported by Jerwood. Working with artists at different career stages is one of DCA’s core aims; we can’t wait to invite them to the Print Studio to experiment and develop their practice” Beth Bate, Director of DCA.
Opening for applications: spring 2023
