HighRise Theatre

Lill.Miss.Lady

HighRise are a theatre collective who seek to spark conversation and build bridges between forgotten communities by representing the rhythm of the streets. Its core aim is to use inner-city memories, culture and music to give the unheard a voice through theatre making acclaimed shows and connecting with several communities across London. HighRise’s style is energetic, physical, innovative, poetic and colloquial – using Hip Hop and Grime music on top of extreme play as a vehicle to tell honest stories from multicultural backgrounds. Early stage research for a new concept-rave exploring the history of Grime music through the eyes of a female MC

This page was made some time ago and may contain information which is now out of date

Our support is for early stage research and development of Lil.Miss.Lady, new concept-rave exploring the history of Grime music through the eyes of a female MC. The work will be developed in collaboration with Latitude festival and Roundhouse where it will be showcased as it develops. This will be a step up in scale for the collective, who we first supported through Cardboard Citizen’s Home Truths programme to make Merryville in 2016.
