New works by early-career photographers Veronica Bailey; Polly Braden; Edgar Martins; Danny Treacy and Naglaa Walker enabled by the Jerwood Photography Awards.
The six artists were selected from over 664 submissions in response to an open call to photography practitioners who had recently graduated from a UK based educational institution. They each received an award of £2,500 to support the making of new work for this exhibition and their work was published by Portfolio Magazine.
The selectors were Gloria Chalmers, Editor, Portfolio Magazine; David Chandler, Director, Photoworks; Mark Haworth-Booth, Curator of Photography, Victoria & Albert Museum; Amanda Hopkinson, Writer and Critic; and Catherine Yass, visual artist.
