New works by early-career photographers Zoe Hatziyannaki; Peter Oetzmann; Indre Serpytyte and Paul Winch-Furness enabled by the Jerwood Photography Awards.
The six artists were selected from over 670 submissions in response to an open call to photography practitioners who had recently graduated from a UK based educational institution. They each received an award of £2,500 to support the making of new work for this exhibition and their work was published by Portfolio Magazine.
The selectors were David A Bailey, Senior Photography Curator, Autograph APB; Sian Bonnell, visual artist; Gloria Chalmers, Editor, Portfolio Magazine; Francis Hodgson, Head of Photographs at Sothebys’; and Russell Roberts, Ffotogallery Senior Research Fellow in Photographic Curation, University of Wales, Newport.
Following the conclusion of the show at Jerwood Space, the exhibition toured to galleries across the UK.
