New works by early-career photographers Sophie Gerrard; Edmund Kevill-Davies; Moira Lovell; Kevin Newark and Dana Popa enabled by the Jerwood Photography Awards.
The six artists were selected from over 540 submissions in response to an open call to photography practitioners who had recently graduated from a UK based educational institution. They each received an award of £2,500 to support the making of new work for this exhibition and their work was published by Portfolio Magazine.
The selectors were Martin Barnes, Curator, Photographs, V & A Museum; Gloria Chalmers, Editor, Portfolio Magazine; Gayle Chong Kwan, visual artist; John Davies, photographer/artist; and Anne McNeill, Director, Impressions Gallery, Bradford.
Following the conclusion of the show at Jerwood Space, the exhibition toured nationally.
