Home Truths is an ambitious body of work that will be the backbone of Cardboard Citizen’s programme throughout 2016 and 2017. It will explore the urgent topic of attitudes towards public and private housing over a 150 year period.

Our support is to engage nine writers and an emerging theatre company to work on early-stage ideas, with nine seed commissions developed for the Home Truths season in 2017. The supported writers are: Sonali Bhattacharyya, Lin Coghlan, EV Crowe, Anders Lustgarten, Nessah Muthy, Chris O’Connell, Stef Smith, David Watson and Heathcote Williams with Sarah Woods. Emerging company HighRise Theatre will also present their show, Merryville at Camden People’s Theatre and a symposium asks what  theatre can do about housing.
