Jerwood Developing Artists Fund

Jerwood Developing Artists Fund provides grants for arts organisations to deliver sector-leading development programmes for early-career artists, makers, curators and producers in all artforms across the UK, generating hundreds of opportunities each year.

Through this fund, Jerwood Arts will build a UK-wide portfolio of innovative organisations that work in and across artforms and disciplines and can offer transformative, career-making opportunities for individuals at a critical moment in their practice, stimulating the emergence of new creative voices onto the national arts scene.

By the end of 2022, 16 programmes were successful in the first rounds of Jerwood Developing Artists Fund, creating over 100 fully resourced opportunities for artists over the next two years. Read the press release.

Jerwood Developing Artists Fund has a two-stage process, consisting of a call for Expressions of Interest (EOI) for organisations and then a small number of these submissions are invited to make full applications. Our approach was designed in response to feedback from applicants and the sector about best practice in grant making. You can read more about it in this blog from summer 2022. By the end of the year, we were also able to share our learning from the Jerwood Developing Artists Fund’s rounds across 2022 and outline the next steps for how the fund will be run.

Due to Jerwood Arts being merged into Jerwood Foundation, we are unable to accept Expressions of Interest until further notice. Please sign up to our Newsletter for updates.
