To support artists and organisations since Covid-19 hit, we’ve sharpened our focus on our founding values of ‘responsible, independent and imaginative’, and continued to listen to artists and used our expertise to navigate and influence. It was a year of monumental, never-ending change at both a micro and macro-levelresulting in positive year of collaboration and a year of learning.

Jerwood Arts is part of the Jerwood family of philanthropic organisations, and each year we publish a joint Annual Review of our activities. To look back at 2020, we have gone digital and are sharing an overview of our activities here on the Jerwood Foundation website

Our trustees and staff team changed in 2020. We recently welcomed Kaya La Bonte-Hurst and Shanaé Chisholm to our staff team. At Board level, after 15 years of committed service Tim Eyles handed the Chairmanship to Rupert Tyler, a long time trustee and Head of the Finance and Investment Committee. Trustees Vanessa Engle and Philippa Hogan-Hern, also stepped down in the year. We would like to thank all of them for their tireless enthusiasm, dedication and support.

We are proud of how we’ve adapted and helped others to adaptWe have also been inspired by the creative resilience of the artists and arts organisations throughout the UKIn the face of the ongoing challenges of that Covid-19 presents, for 2021, we are focused on keeping the energy for positive change going and continuing to find ways to support artists and arts organisations across the UK.
