Two composers have been selected to take part in London Symphony Orchestra’s development programme for early-career composers, LSO Jerwood Composer+

This page was made some time ago and may contain information which is now out of date

They are given the support, guidance and expertise of LSO Staff, as well as an external mentor, in order to gain experience in every aspect of putting on a successful new music performance, from programming for specific audiences, planning and organising events to marketing, budgeting and how to approach the press. Through this process they will gain invaluable knowledge and practical experience in how to establish and promote themselves professionally. The concerts will be part of the artistic programme at LSO St Luke’s, the Orchestra’s venue on London’s Old Street.

Further concerts by the composers in the pilot year of LSO Jerwood Composer+, Emma-Jean Thackray and Jasmin Kent Rodgman, will take place on Saturday 6 October and Saturday 24 November at LSO St Luke’s.
