Sams Eden II is a collaborative project commissioned by the MAC between one of their Associate Partners The Rainbow Project and Jerwood Curatorial Accelerator Fellow Thomas Wells.

Over the course of twelve months, Thomas Wells and The Rainbow Project (TRPNI) devised a series of workshops at The MAC inspired by one of the five senses to explore access to different creative platforms. These included; performance art, photography, architecture, entrepreneurship, and visual art. Each workshop invited an established practitioner in their field to produce a creative workshop for TRPNI users and anyone interested in contributing to Sam’s Eden.

This event will celebrate the culmination of that work in the launch of the publication Sam’s Eden II. Joining the event will be one of the contributing artists Emma Brennan who will perform an original score Sam’s Away that was created during her workshop. She will be supported by HIVE choir and members of the original workshop.

Sam’s Eden II is a limited-edition publication and is available to purchase at the MAC Box Office very soon. You can also purchase it when you book a ticket to this event.

The sales from all purchases go towards the development of future Sam’s Eden publications developed by Thomas Wells. The publication costs £12.

Thomas is supported through the Jerwood Curatorial Accelerator programme, a 12-month curatorial and leadership development programme for 11 early-career curators from working class/low socio-economic backgrounds.
