Four Jerwood Arts alumni shortlisted for Jarman Award 2019

Jerwood Arts alumni Cécile B. Evans; Hetain Patel; Imran Perretta and Rehana Zaman have all been shortlisted for the Jarman Award 2019 alongside Beatrice Gibson and Mikhail Karikis.

The Film London Jarman Award recognises and supports artists working with moving image and celebrates the spirit of experimentation, imagination and innovation in the work of UK-based artist filmmakers. The Award is inspired by visionary filmmaker Derek Jarman.

The Award winner will be announced at the Barbican Centre on 25 November 2019 in a special ceremony where the winner will receive the £10,000 prize money.

We supported Cécile B. Evans through Jerwood Encounters: TTTT in 2014: Hetain Patel though Jerwood Choreographic Research Project in 2014; Imran Perretta through the Jerwood/FVU Awards 2018: Unexpected Consequences; and Rehana Zaman was part Jerwood Staging Series in 2017 and is currently a Jerwood Artist Adviser.
