A group exhibition of newly-commissioned performances, artworks and experiments in performance documentation by Edwina Ashton, Jack Strange and Bedwyr Williams. Curated by Sarah Williams the exhibition examines the integral role that performance plays within an artist’s practice and its subsequent representation in an exhibition context.
Jerwood Encounters are one-off curated exhibitions which provide artists and curators with new exhibition opportunities and the chance to explore issues and territories in the borderlands between the main disciplinary fields of the Jerwood Visual Arts programme. They were first established in 2009.
