While some programmes have already selected artists, the majority of opportunities will go live in the first three months of 2023. If you are an early-career artist, curator or producer looking for support from Jerwood Arts, follow the latest updates on which opportunities are open for application through our Apply Now page.
Jerwood Developing Artists Fund has a two-stage process, consisting of a call for Expressions of Interest (EOI) for organisations and then a small number of these submissions are invited to make full applications. Our approach was designed in response to feedback from applicants and the sector about best practice in grant making. You can read more about it in this blog from summer 2022. By the end of the year, we were also able to share our learning from the Jerwood Developing Artists Fund’s rounds across 2022 and outline the next steps for how the fund will be run.
Our last deadline for EOIs was 1 February 2023 and we received a large number of submissions, which will be reviewed over the coming months. We will invite organisations that have made EOIs that best meet our priorities to make full applications for one of our next decision-making meetings in April, July or October.
The EOI portal will re-open again in Autumn 2023 for programme ideas from 2024 onwards and we will re-issue guidance for the fund then.
